Cabral Pinto spotlighted The XYZ Show in his article featured in
the Saturday Nation (15 August 2009).
In the full article appearing in newsprint, we concurred with the
point that Cabral Pinto made regarding Kenyan corporates, the
private sector in general, and their media managers … that they
should put their money where their mouth is and show support
for the broadcasters and content producers that seeks to
hold leadership of our country to a higher standard.
We concur with Cabral Pinto when says that the private sector,
corporates and the CEOs behind them no longer have the luxury
of the “normal fear of businesses” about projects such as The XYZ
Show “that are seen to be critical of the political leadership”.
The private sector should not sit silently and watch the effects
of bad leadership come to fruition (in the form of death and destitution
of our fellow country men, women and children) when they can do
more to stem off the same.
So let the call also go out to the private sector, the CEOs and their
media managers, stand up and be counted as part of the social-political
revolution in our country.
